DNP’s global positioning and extensive research and development efforts ensure we offer the highest quality, best priced dye-sublimation media products available. DNP owns 65% of the global capacity for dye-sublimation media production, making it possible for DNP IMS America Corporation’s dye-sublimation media to take a leading cost position in the marketplace. Media solutions are available for large- and medium-scale processing and on-demand printing.
The dye-sublimation process uses a printing technique that diffuses dye in the form of a ribbon onto paper. When heat is applied, the dye is converted into gas which is absorbed by a special receiving layer on the paper.
The dye layers are then sealed into the paper and the image is protected against UV light, fingerprints, and even water. There is no smudging, running, or blotching because prints are dry and ready to touch as soon as they leave the printer. DNP dye-sublimation media can create a total of 16.7 million true colors and reproduce stunning natural images.
